African Furniture Merchant is one of the main sponsors for the Mrs Style Competition. The competition has been running for 8 years and was started by Renita Lombard, former beauty queen and owner of the modeling school €Models Unlimited€. This nationally recognised, prestigious competition is for mothers 25 years and older and attracts beautiful women from all over South Africa. The competition has created the opportunity for the participants to make a significant difference in various communities and charities through their fund raising efforts. Such charities include Reach for a Dream and the Danville Project, both of which have benefited from the competition€s fund raising events such as the Golf day

This year€s Mrs Style competition was held on the 16 May at the Saint George Hotel hosted by the master of ceremonies, Paul Rothman of Pasella. The winner for 2008 was 32 year old Tanya Webber of Pretoria, the owner of a beauty salon. In second place was Riana Meyer(42) a business woman from Hartebeespoortdam. In third place was Anni Cronje (39) a business woman from Pretoria.
